Hypothesis - A supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.
Ex. Juan’s hypothesis concerning the cause of the accident was that the driver was distracted by texting.
Implicate -Show (someone) to be involved in a crime: "police implicated him in more killings".
Ex. Smoking has been implicated to cause premature death.
