Facts About Immigrant Women Working in the U.S. Food Industry

i learned that most women were among the most vulnerable workers in our society and that there  are an estimated 4.1 million undocumented women in the U.S.  addition 4 million U.S. born children  citizens by birthright  live in a household with at least one undocumented parent. and that workers would raise the U.S. gross domestic product by $1.5 trillion over a decade. and that According to the U.S. Department of Labor, farmworkers suffer from higher rates of toxic chemical injuries and skin disorders than any other workers in the country. also that Farmworkers are not covered by workers’ compensation laws in many states.

Jewish Resistance

Jews were the nazis primary victims they  resisted nazi oppression in a variety of ways both collectithey joined Soviet partisan units or formed separate partisan units to harass the German occupiers. and as individuals Thousands of young Jews resisted by escaping from the ghettos into the forests. Jewish prisoners rose against their guards at three killing centers. such as Jewish council chairman Moshe Jaffe in Minsk, resisted by refusing to comply when the Germans ordered him to hand over Jews for deportation in July 1942.

two things that shocked me is that Jewish resistance have survived the Holocaust, documents and testimony show that resistance was not as uncommon as is evident and that Jewish resistance leading up to and lasting throughout the Holocaust included a multitude of different social responses by those oppressed

They were the fortunate few, Jewish children who threaded the needle of
Nazi regulations and American reluctance, finding refuge in the United
States. All they had to sacrifice was their childhoods.
They are painful memories, and Weiss at first had no interest in reliving
them in . Slowly he changed his mind. He wondered whether his
experience was really that different. He wondered how others had moved on
from theirs. Maybe everyone else wondered, too, he thought. Maybe, despite
the decades spent forging an identity, they all still had blanks to fill
in.

One Thousand Children

One Thousand Children effort was to help Jewish children leave Nazi occupied areas.  the Kindertransport, which was sponsored by the British government the American One Thousand Children project was undertaken by private individuals and organizations. Consequently, fewer children were able to leave Germany. the United States had some of the most restrictive immigration laws in the world.

Kite Running

1. What is kite running? what do they do ? what are the roles of each person called ?
Kite-running is a two-person affair, with one person called the “charka gir” and
the other called the “gudiparan baz.” The charka gir is in charge of the holding
the wooden kite spool, around which the wire, or “tar” is wound. The second
person, called the “gudiparan baz” actually is in control of the movement of the
kite in the air.


2. What is the history of kite running in Afghanistan? How long? Importance?
Kite-running (Gudiparan Bazi) has been a favorite pastime in Afghanistan for
the last 100 years and its importent because its one of there hobbies in afgan  .
